AICNA NATIONAL CONGRESS 2021

The 2021 AICNA National Congress “Around The Nose” is a multidisciplinary event that covers different and extremely diverse aspects of the world of rhinology, both medical and surgical. The first day of the event will be dedicated to the world of rhinitis, its clinical classification, and its treatment, with a focus on the contribution of individual specialists to diagnosis and new therapeutic developments. We will discuss COVID and how this disease has a very significant short- and long-term impact on the nose and the sense of smell in particular. A session exclusively dedicated to Empty Nose Syndrome will allow us to update ourselves on the latest developments concerning this condition. The final part of the first day will feature an interactive practical session that will allow ENT specialists and others to try out some nasal function tools that can then be transferred into everyday clinical practice. The second day of the conference will focus on chronic rhinosinusitis with polyps and on the latest developments in diagnosis, medical and surgical treatment, which have already had a major impact on our clinical practice since EPOS 2020. Patient phenotyping will be the focus of the morning’s discussion, followed by a panel discussion on the latest medical developments in this field. We have devoted considerable space to surgery and its correct application in polyposis, focusing in particular on revision surgery and the latest technological developments. Although still very preliminary, real-life clinical experiences with the use of biologics in polyposis are of great interest due to the extraordinary potential of these new therapies. https://eventi.psacf.it/aicna2021/
